I started my career as a UI artist at Lionhead Studios working on the Fable The Journey game for Xbox 360 Kinect. I was thrilled when I was asked to create the achievement icons for the game.
I wanted them to have a handmade feel, my final design mimicked a watercolour masking effect using colour to categorise the achievements, for example light blue for story related achievements. All designs were concepted on paper then drawn as vectors in Adobe Illustrator. Some final touches were applied in Adobe Photoshop.
